Standard & Poor's rating agency recognized CREDIT BANK OF MOSCOW as systemically important

24.01.2014

One of the leading international rating agencies Standard & Poor's included CREDIT BANK OF MOSCOW in the list of top thirteen systemically important banks, as it is evidenced in the report of the agency.

According to the rating agency analysts' estimates, based on the internal methodology, only a few private Russian banks can be regarded as systemically important financial institutions, as a result of a highly fragmented banking system.

Two state banks, VTB and Gazprombank, as well as a number of large privately owned banks, such as Alfa-bank, Uralsib and others, were also included in the general ranking along with CREDIT BANK OF MOSCOW.

«We are glad that such a reputable rating agency as Standard & Poor's placed us in the list of systemically important banks, in line with the major players in the financial sector. We intend to further develop and strengthen the positions of our Bank.» — said Vladimir Chubar, Chairman of the Management Board of the Bank.

CREDIT BANK OF MOSCOW has the following ratings from Standard & Poor’s: long-term credit rating «BB-», short-term credit rating «B», Outlook — «Stable». Russia national scale ratings «ruAA-».
