Moody’s upgrades CREDIT BANK OF MOSCOW’s credit rating to Ba3

27.09.2017

27 September 2017 Moody’s Investors Service upgraded CREDIT BANK OF MOSCOW’s credit ratings: the senior unsecured debt and deposit rating from B1 to Ba3, and the long-term counterparty risk assessment (CR Assessment) from Ba3 to Ba2. The outlook is ‘Stable’.

The senior unsecured debt and deposit rating was upgraded mainly because the Bank had been designated as one of the systemically important credit institutions according to an updated list published on the Bank of Russia’s website on 13 September 2017. The agency believes the Bank of Russia’s decision implies a high probability of support for the Bank should it be needed, which makes the Bank more stable and minimises its counterparties’ risks.
