Lord Daresbury Peter Gilbert and Alexey A. Stepanenko join CBM's Supervisory Board

15 November 2017 — an extraordinary General Shareholders' Meeting of CREDIT BANK OF MOSCOW elected a new Supervisory Board. The newly elected members are Lord Peter Gilbert Daresbury and Alexey A. Stepanenko.

Thus, the Supervisory Board has ten members now: Roman Ivanovich Avdeev (Non-Executive Director), Andrew Sergio Gazitua (Independent Director), Thomas Gunther Grasse (Non-Executive Director), Lord Peter Gilbert Daresbury (Independent Director), Andreas Klingen (Independent Director), Sergey Yuryevich Menzhinsky (Non-Executive Director), William Forrester Owens (Independent Director), Ilkka Seppo Salonen (Independent Director), Alexey A. Stepanenko (Non-Executive Director) and Vladimir Alexandrovich Chubar (Executive Director, Chairman of the Management Board).

Lord Peter Daresbury has held numerous executive positions, including CEO from 1993 to 2000 of the Greenalls Group, which had an annual turnover of £983 million and a FTSE market capitalisation of £1.7 billion. In 2000 the company was re-named The De Vere Group plc, and Peter became Non-Executive Chairman, until he stood down in 2006. Peter was also Chairman of Aintree Racecourse for 25 years, where in his riding days he rode in the Grand National in 1975 and won the Liverpool Foxhunters in 1982. Now Chairman of Haydock Racecourse, where he has had a connection for many years as a Jockey, a Steward and as a Sponsor. He is a Steward of The Jockey Club and is Chairman of Jockey Club Catering, which operates all the catering on the 15 Jockey Club Racecourses.

Peter is currently Chairman of AIM listed Nasstar PLC, Stellar Diamonds PLC and Auriant Mining.

Alexey Stepanenko began his career in financial sector in 2004. He joined the Bank in February 2009 as a Head of Sectoral Risk Monitoring Unit and then successively assumed positions of the Head of Financial and Sectoral Risks Analysis Unit, Head of Financial Risk Department, Deputy Director of Risk Division and Director of Analytical Division. In 2012 he was promoted to a Vice President of the Bank. In 2013 Alexey Stepanenko was appointed to the position of Vice President of MCB Capital. In November 2016 Alexey Stepanenko was appointed to the position of Deputy Chairman of the Management Board.
