MKB has set ESG-related key performance indicators for top management

26.07.2021

Credit Bank of Moscow (MKB, Region-Rossium Group) enhances the supervision over the implementation of its approved ESG strategy by assigning key performance indicators (KPIs) to the Management Board members. This decision was taken when the Supervisory Board approved the extended version of MKB's sustainable development strategy 2021–2023, which is considered best practice in the sector.

The linkage of top management's remuneration to sustainable development results gives one more incentive for the promotion of the ESG agenda. Active involvement of top management in the fulfilment of the sustainable development strategy will help accelerate the integration of social and environmental principles into the existing business processes and expand sustainable financing.

The introduction of a KPI system for top management fits organically MKB's freshly configured development model, where the translation of its goals from the highest to the lowest level is one of the priority principles. The list and achievement status of KPIs are to be revised on an annual basis.
